A while back I purchased a fruit fly culture from petco and made my own cultures from it. It seems the flies were starting to fly again. Heheh! So I desided to order some fruit flies from saurian.

I just wanted to say that they were HUGE!! Plump flies, delicious for my little darts!

I am so very pleased with them. Heheh!

They are definetly worth the $$.

Um.. I don't want to make another post, so I shall just ask it here.
How do frogs eat flies? I know, I know this sounds weird. But like when I was in grade one we learnt that they catch them with those huge tongues. And now I can imagine my white being active enough to like jump up and catch a fly. Heck I have trouble catching ones that get in my room.

I feed my dart frogs fruit flies, they are pretty small frogs, so the flies are appropriately sized.

I dont think a frog like a White's would have much use with FFs.

I also feed some to my african dwarf clawed frogs.

But so do they like use their tongues to catch them, or um just grab them in their mouth.. Or have you not noticed how? Oh i'm not thinking of using them.. I was just wondering about this for a while now. lol

They sort of lean in and grab them.

Its hillarious to watch them stretch out toward the ickle bug to grab it.

I seen my azureus miss the same fruit fly three times in a row the other day.

They make me giggle.

Ahh I see, lol that sounds funny
:They sort of lean in and grab them. But I mean, theres no other way to describe it. For my ADF should I like catch the fruit fly and then put it on the surface of the water like that? Because she needs some more variety in her diet.

Just sprinkle them on the top of the water. I just sort of shake them out of the container onto the top of the water.
