ME!?Valedictorian, haha! how cool! So it goes to show, even when you think youve done something stupid, and have made mistakes. do whatever you can to fix them. look at me! i dropped out of school, and now im graduating with top honors and scholarships. im so happy just thought id share one of my few accomplishments.

Good going, Sheryl! Like Jackie, I was no where near being Valedictorian, either. I really didn't care then but wish now I did. A lot of doors are going to be open for you because of this, it must be awesome!

What's your GPA? I graduated well under a 3.00 weighted, it was horrible. The funny thing is over half of the top ten were kids in my gifted classes in middle and even elementary school... of which only, maybe, fifteen of us went to that high school. I stink, hehe, I probably had the worst GPA out of all of us.

Geez, a hundred kids... you're so lucky! And, not only are you Valedictorian, it's a prep school--I bet the scholarships are rolling in! What schools are you considering and for what programs? Gosh, that's freaking awesome!

That's really cool. I just finished college with a 2.6. You must work really hard. I'm pretty lazy.

That's not bad, Brian, you don't have the advantage of a "weighted" GPA in most cases in college... and those 4-5 credit courses can kill your GPA! What did you study? Do you plan to continue?

I did Bio and Psych. I'm technically done although I am taking the Herp. class and an animal behavior class this semester as a "extention student" because that's what I'm interested in. I do plan to continue so that's why my GPA is a problem.

spydergirl, make sure you apply for scholarships before you go to college since I learned it's much easier to get them before college then in college even with equal or better grades, at least here it was.

oh tell me about it. i already have a list of scholarships i can apply for just for being valedictorian. theres alot of others too. i can get one because im a redhead, because my fathers a mason, because hes a war vet, because im in a family whos adopted, etc. im going to wait a year before college, take some SAT tutoring and stuff, get my act together. i want to go to a community college for business management for 2 years(or a tech school or something) and then go to a bigger university and study zoology or animal husbandry. i want to have my own pet or herp store, whichever happens. id love to do something like that,i hope it all goes through.

Ive been in both large universities and community colleges, and no matter what anyone tells you at the university, community colleges are not a bad thing. Take me. I hate math classes. I can do it, I just hate it. Needless to say when I took math classes in the university setting with about 250 people I didnt make it to that many classes. So I sucked up my pride and went to the states best CC, took my math classes there, and did much better with smaller class sizes and more individual attention. So I am a full advocate for community colleges, if you go to the right one, it's a blessing. Plus, it used to crack me up to see some of the same people that talked about how low CC's were walking the same halls as me in the very schools that they dissed. It's funny, they sure don't speak to you anymore, they just hang their heads.
Congrats on not only having the drive to go back, but the determination to be valedictorian.

thank you thank you.that was the same thing that happened to me in my old school. 50 kids per classroom was ridicidulous in a high school setting.kids had to sit on the radiators for crying out loud. it was ok for kids from the bad neighborhoods to come to our school, and take 4 busses and trains getting there. but it wasnt ok for some kids who lived the next neighborhood away to go to the school. so i had a tough time dealing with the kids i didnt grow up around, the different ways they act and the nonsense, everyone was so different,so rude and just stupid. thats all it was, everyday was a social gathering with people you loathed. i hated it. then something finally set me off and i left and never went back. now my school i am graduating from(TONIGHT!!!)had about 10-15 kids per class MAX,and the individual attention obviously paid off big time. i think its so odd that i went form being a drop out to valedictorian. but im happy.

It means that you finished at the very top of your class, number one in GPA.
