I got 2 new Budgett's Frogs, both are about the size of a toonie, and they are male. They were shipped in a 4 oz deli cup, and they just fit in there. Both were chirping away as soon as I picked up their cups to look at them. They are just adorable.

I also got 3 new ALBINO African Dwarf Frogs. I had no idea that these guys were even available in Canada yet! I remember seeing a post on here a couple of years ago that someone picked up from the pet shop. Very cool little guys, I hope they do well. My LFS got in an accidental extra fish order today. This order was meant to go to another pet shop out of town, but it got delayed and wouldn't be shipped out again until Monday, so our pet shop agreed to take it in, and these little guys were in it.

I also got a full sized Albino ACF (female), a juvenile grey speckled ACF, and a florescent pink "jelly bean" ACF. I've heard a lot of controversy about the dyed frogs, and I want to see how long they actually live for, and I plan on taking pictures of it every day to see how long it takes for the colour to disappear.

I also picked up a pair of Chinese Fire Belly Newts, but they didn't fare so well. I'm not sure if they were sick or just had stress really really bad. I got them yesterday, did 1 Lamisil treatment on them, got up this morning and they were both dead. I exchanged them, and when I got home, one of the new ones was dying.

They didn't really appeal to me at first either. You have to see one in person, then you're hooked. My sister-in-law says that they look like "a bag of milk with eyes."
Budgett's are quite the little characters though, with a serious love for food.

I thought mine were a pretty good price, I traded 3 of my crested gecko babies and got 2 Budgett's frogs. They usually cost around $70-80 each here.

oh I saw them in person! I just like stuffs that are colorful.. and I also don't really like their eyes either ;X
but the fact they're THE voracious water dweller and the way they cry, is pretty kewl!
If I remember well, we can get them for 40-50$ here... !!
Everything seems quite expensive in Alberta but hey you guys don't get taxed like we do in Quebec;p (or did.. I am moving in Kingston, On) ;)
