Thats a opossum that someone found in my university's neighborhood with a dead mom.
It was him and more 9 litle guys, but only him survived. His last sister died tomorrow.
My teacher used the coin to choose 3 lucky to take care of them, i was one of them, and had to take care of him and more 2 sisters!!!
I am taking care of him and after will free him.

It eats each other 3 hours(don't know how to say)
His name is Pierre

Albatross:

That opossum is absolutely adorable. But, I don't think you can raise an animal like that and then just set it free. There are steps rehabilitation centers have to make to teach them how to survive on their own. Good luck with that little one, he's incredibly cute.

But that's what i am doing. I study biology on the university.
Well, it will stop to drink milk and start to eat fruits and insects, i don't think it's difficult to it to find the fruits and insects in nature when we set it free.
Well at list, i know it's only alive because i am taking care of it.
It's cute, it's like a baby.
Iwill post some video of it drinking milk.

I raised a opossum in highschool. I carried it around in a little hammock/sack inside my shirt. I fed it every couple of hours until it got older.

once it was on solids and would have been out of his mothers pouch I took him to a wildlife rescue facility where they teach them how to survive on their own in the wild. they released him to the national park once he was old enough.

I don't know how to raise the babies. Once a mama possum raised a (litter?) under our back porch. She kept tearing into the dogfood bag in the carport so I just started putting her a bowl full each night when I fed the dogs. I guess she wanted seconds because she ate the bowl full and still tore the bag open.

OMG! I WANT HIM!!! THat is the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!!!

You are wonderful for caring for him!

If I see a newly hit oppossum on the road - esp. in the spring, I always stop and put on gloves and check the pouch for babies.

Haven't found any yet, though.

Kudos to you!!!!
