Here in Mississippi the weather has been warm for several weeks now, and we are having thunderstorms every day, which is a perfect environment for frogs. The outside frogs are singing a chorus ALL NIGHT LONG and they are so loud I can't sleep! I love hearing them, but I thought at some point they would hush. They don't. They keep it up until the sun comes up, which is when I was finally able to doze off.

I did rescue a toad from my dogs last night. They were barking like crazy and I went to see what they had and it was a toad that they had corned up against the house. I caught him and let him loose farther from the house.

This morning I heard the first croak in the neighborhood of the season. It made me so happy.

We've had the spring peepers going at it in our area for the last three weeks and I love falling to sleep to their peeps.
I haven't heard any other frogs yet.

um frogs... yeah, they're still hybernating. lol The only ones I hear are of the indoor variety. I love the sound of frogs, but I can sympathize, they really can get deafening at the right times of the year.

I figure that everything is as it should be when you hear frogs

We have had the same weather here in southeast Texas and I went outside last night and it was loud. I'm going to go out to the pond tonight and see how many frogs I see.

2 Azureus, 4 Firebelly Toads, 1 Black Spined Toad, & 2 Leucomelas
5 dogs (Rat terriers, mixes, pit), 2 cats, 1 parrotlet & 1 lovebird, 2 ferrets, 5 fish tanks
6 pygmy goats, 13 rabbits
