You might want to consider Firebellied Toads, but if you're pretty experienced with frogs which it doesn't sound like you are, then you may want poison dart frogs or mantellas, the latter of which are one of the more difficult speceis to care for due to having to keep the temperature low.

I'm not an expert but I'm not gonna get Firebellied Toads!!!!!!!!I was actually ready thinking about getting poison dart frogs.how many can I fit in a tall 44 gallon tank?

Again, I can't answer that directly for at least two reasons. 1) I don't have the experience and as importantly 2) It would depend on the specie.
A 44 gal. tall is certainly large enough to had some, but other factors come into play as well.
Like I said someone will be better abled to answer your questions, however it would help if you had some idea what "dart frog specie" you think you might be interested in as some are shy, others more active, etc. which maybe of interest to you as well, if not even more than color, patterns, etc..
