I have two available tanks and once I get moved Zero and Dozer will be moved into one of them and out of the 20 tall that they are in now (I know, a little small for two REs but they are only 2.5 inches themselves so I haven't worried too much)

Well what I'm wondering is which tank I should move them into?

The one that's about a 27 gallon (21hx24lx12.5w) or the one that's about 42 gallons (23.5hx35.5lx11.5w)(which BTW has a nice cabinet stand)

Do you think the larger one would be too much for two little REs? Or do you think that they would really like that much space?

I'm asking because I htink I may actually sell one of the empty tanks but I just can't decide which one Zero and Dozer should go into.

SO what do you all think?

Well, I think they would be fine in the 27, but bigger is better sometimes.

Hm.. I would probably put them in the smaller tank, so it's not as hard for them to find food. Plus if you want to sell the larger tank, you'll have the nice stand to go with it, which would definately be attractive to buyers.

Yeah they should be fine in the 27g since it's just the 2 of them. Bigger is better sometimes as Evol said...sometimes too big can be bad. Might be hard for them to find their food. And you could get more money if you sold the larger one w/ the nice stand.

Hmm... this is true. SO what would be a good asking price for a 42 gallon tank with screen top and wooden cabinet stand? (that's what Columbia is in rigt now but I'm movinger her back into the plexi enclosure)

I'll see if I can snap a picture of it if that would help figuring out a price.

Check around a few petstores and see what they're selling it at and go from there. You don't want to ask too little but you don't want to ask too much either. Are there any markings on the stand or anything? I know my cat got ahold of the 20g stand and there are a few nicks on it.

Ok, this is the tank and stand. There aren't any marks on the stand itself at all. As for the tank itself, there are 2 small chips on the corners glass 1 on the front and 1 back and the plastic on the top right is slightly melted from a heat lamp before I acquired it but it is on the inside and doesn't interfere with the lid at all.

A tank and stand like that would sell for about 150.00 - 200.00 here (in canadian funds). In Canada...lol

about 200-250+ here in newyork. Nice stands like that tend to be about 150 alone( everything is over priced around here) and a aquarmium that size is worth about probably 125. Things are kinda retardedly expensive here which is the main reason i make my own aquariums.

Just for comparison. The pet store down the street has a 29 gallon AllGlass tank with hood, flo. light and stand, in oak finish on sale for $147.00. Aimed at fish set-up.

Keep in mine this is CT. and like the post from NY (City?), we are most likely more expensive than FL.

yeah, ive noticed prices on these thing change from state to state. i have a friend in conn. and i live and mass, from what hes said, stuff is more expensive in conn. than in mass., i would just go to a local pet store, and see what theyre asking for it. some mom and pop petstores will actually buy used tanks from people, so you could check that out if there are any in your area. i agree with spydergirl4594, though

Well... the PetSmart nearest me has a set up close to this, but only a 30 tall and they are asking $175. The Mom and Pop places are sometimes more. I have it listed for $150 OBO, figure that way maybe I can get at least $100. Of course.. I haven't gotten any offers on it. May have to put it in my yeard sale and see if that works.

That would cost me over $200 new.

Honestly why not put the frogs in the big one and leave parts of it less dense almost "open space". That way things don't get lost as easily like food, the frogs can either choose to stay out of the open or go into it and you keep a very cool tank.
