We have had 2 female and 1 male Pacific Tree Frogs for 4 years. For the past 2 years, the male and one female have mated and produced eggs (they weren't viable, though). This spring's eggs were laid about a month ago. Our male frog hasn't eaten much this past month. He ate 1 cricket about 2 weeks ago and has steadfastly refused to eat since then. He is still croaking, he still climbs the tree in the habitat, he still seems his usual chubby self.....just not eating. I know this isn't a problem for a day or two but this has gone on far too long for my comfort. I wonder if he is trying to court the other female? I'm considering isolating him and perhaps even trying a "honey" bath that I read about on here. Any advice on honey baths? anyone else have trouble with their boy frogs during mating season?
