Well, I'm not sure what to do. I accidently sprayed diluted oxy clean on my frog. I didn't spray very much in the tank itself, and I washed everything really good, however I did spray it directly on the frog and I'm worried that I've killed her. What should I do?

Oh no!!! I have no idea how to help you. Maybe treat the frog as if you had gotten some in your eye? Try rinsing and soaking in a bowl of conditioned water? Could't hurt.

You need to soak the frog in clean treated water and change it as much as you can after rinsing the frog thoroughly. Also be sure you tear down the tank and ditch anything you can't rinse thoroughly - such as the substrate, etc. It will all depend on how much was sprayed directly on him and how much was absorbed as to whether or not he'll be okay - only time will tell. Keep a close eye on him and watch for swelling, lethargy, seizures, skin irritation, etc. Hope this helps and keep us posted.

Well, I did not spray much on the tank, I was too tired, so I only gave it a few little squirts. It was diluted oxyclean, so far so good.

I would definately soak him in a tank of shallow water. One of my big plains leopard frogs had a reaction to some of that bug bomb stuff last Fall (my landlord used it in our basement unbeknownst to me, and the frog started to actually shake and refuse food that day. ) I kept her in a small tank with water changed daily up to her elbows, and in about 2 weeks the shaking was gone, and she is still alive today. Water will help dilute any toxic substance in the frog.

Well, she seems to be ok. No signs of illness. Thanks for the info.
