Yeah, Rocco Toads might have evolved from a group of Marine Toads. However, those big toads can bully smaller toads and should be similiar in size themselves.

While you can get away with mixing some Bufo, B. alvarius and B. marinus are both known to eat other toads and members of their own species.

These toads should never be mixed with smaller species. I have a account of a American Toad basically giving up even trying to eat when housed with a Marine Toad because it simply couldn't get any food.

The American Toad can be mixed with Fowler's or Woodhouse's Toad, and possibily even the Southern Toad if you have individuals from the same climate. Although some of these people have trouble telling apart.
There are many reasons though not to mix these species though.

That's insane, why would you ever attempt to put all of that in a tank, it doesn't say how big it is, but that doesn't even matter. Guy needs shot for being an idiot. This is the picture of his setup that has all of that in it

I could be wrong cause the picture is fuzzy, but looks like it is divided into sections? Maybe they can't get from one section to another? But the birds alone will get salmonella from the frogs.

if it is divided, it's only into 2 sections, and that's not enough to keep all those species seperate.

I know it is, but it would be a nice setup for a few of any one of those species of animals, just not all of them.

Your right. He must really want a mixed tank in order to stack them on top of each other.

Is that what that mess is on the separator? Bird crap? You'd think before he took the picture, he'd at least wipe it off. The whole set up is butt-ugly, and it doesn't look like any of the inhabitats have what they need, although I can't distinguish any real inhabitats in there, except maybe a bird, left top. The fish appear to be down there in the dark. It looks like this guy just stacked a bunch of things on top of each other. Then there is all this garbage, like wires and stuff that aren't hidden. Can you imagine if you were fool enough to design something like this, maintaining it?

Hey guys! Anyone want to advise me on making a mixed tank? I plan on adding a few frogs, maybe some rattlesnakes, a couple horses and perhaps an elephant?
Birds?!?! How sad..

They posted that ad on craigslist again. Here are all of the photos of that tank with fish, lizzards, turtles, frogs and birds.

i still think its four sections, that would be a realy beautiful tank if it held the proper animals and was clean. hey if that tank was for sale new and it didnt come with any thing it would be awsome but who ever this person is that has these animals in these conditions is stupid

Gouramis, goldfish and a turtle? A mix of cold water and tropical fish in the same tank, along with the other sins that have been committed? Maybe that hideous mosaic of Jesus is watching over them. It really does need the intervention of a higher power.

I see that they admit the vivarium is dirty, but it wasn't even cleaned up for the photo. Can you imagine trying to keep something like this mess clean?

Animals are simply dispensible to some people, I guess. The whole thing is sick.

ugh today I went in petsmart and they still had that yellow line (plated?) something lizard but this time they had it with a wtf!!! Also had an african fat tailed gecko with a leopard gecko and both looked like their tails were too this, and a 10 gallon tank with about 15 juvenile leopard geckos in a tank all of which were thin. The big leopard gecko that was in with the aft had shed and the skin was still on his face and they did not have a moist hide box in there. grrr

I wouldn't either, I could have gotten a waxy monkey treefrog for teh price of a whites treefrog and they'd of never known the difference at the pet shop I go to, cause they had them both in teh same tank.

Wow, every pet store I've seen knows exactly what they are selling. They're usually asking more then the normal price I've seen other places too.

I got a free waxy about 2 weeks ago. Ordered 0.2 and they sent me 1.2, probably the only time that will happen.

I think someone had taken the tag off of the waxy and noone noticed or cared, it was there with a $100.00 price tag on it for about 3 weeks, then the tag just dissapeared and was replaced by a white's treefrog tag for $20.00. lol
