While cleaning my tank an hour ago one of my green frog tadpoles (roughly 2.5" long) was startled, then somehow jumped out of the tank, falling roughly 3 feet onto the hardwood floor. when i picked it up, it didn't move initially but swam fine the moment i put it back into the tank. the only thing i notice now is that there are signs of internal bleeding in the ventral fin of the tail (some reddening but this may have already been there), there also appears some minor reddening of the posterior part of the belly. it's been over an hour now and it seems to be swimming fine. does anyone have any sense of how this will turn out? i'd imagine that since it's kinda close to being a frog, it's probably more resilient than a younger tadpole but i would like some input. i've separated it from the other tadpoles so it doesn't get nibbled at if it starts to move slowly. thanks

thanks. it's still moving fine and doesn't look different so i guess it hasn't suffered serious internal bleeding. the biggest thing would be if it gets an infection and becomes septic.

yea im guessing their abdomens at this stage are similar to those of developed frogs. however the bigger issue at hand is i'm sure the green frog tads I got from that guy are carrying ranavirus...a few of my wood frog tadpoles had succumbed to it
