I donno... just one of those changes that I feel the need to share for some odd reason LOL I am officially no longer a red head. After about 11 years living as a redhead, I have decide to give the ole natural color a try again. Well... it isn't natural yet, but I have stripped the red out and redyed it a dark ash blonde.. then highlighted it. It doesn't look bad really... I'm just NOT used to it. I'm so used to seeing myself as a redhead, that this whole blonde thing has me feeling weird LOL
HELP! I think I'm ditsy!!!

I'll have my digital camera back tomorrow so I'll try and post a picture. Then you all can tell me what you think... coz I'm not too sure if I like it much LOL

"I mean your so used to looking at your old hair".

My problem is I'm starting to look at more hair on my comb than my head!

Actually, I look in the mirror and I see a head of hair. People behind me look at me and they see a head of head.

Hehe.. After 13 years of being a PLATINUM blonde.. I dyed mine back to my 'real' color.. DARK DARK brown.
I love it now.. No more dealing with roots every 2 weeks.

ROTF LMFAO....that's great! Not great for you though. lol

Can't wait to see a picture Heather...I can't picture you as a blonde but I'm sure it doesn't look bad. My natural colour is light brown and I'm always doing something to it. I've highlighted it a gazillion times I'm suprised that my hair isn't coming out w/ yours bonsai! Hubby wants me to die it red but the last time I got red highlights they faded with a quickness. Red doesn't last that long. How did you get yours to stay? AND POST A PIC!!!!!
Wow vwmom...that's a drastic change.

I can't remember what my natural hair color is. I have been dying it so long. I have done every color imaganable. Can't even tell you what color it is now. to many hi-lights. I recently cut it short and am luting it grow out.(it is almost to my shoulders finally) maybe then I will see what color it is. IF I don't get board with it first. I have been thinking of going back to my burgandy which is what everyone likes on me.

Just my thoughts on it!

Bonsai--Ariel thinks bald men are sexy, so don't give up, it may finally all fall out. I have more hair than head-- I wonder if she's trying to tell me something?

Other than Ariel, whose natural hair is black as coal and is astonishing with her green eyes, I like the steaking the young girls are doing now on light brown or "dishwater" blond hair, especially if it's plain straight hair, not all crimped up.

One of Ariel's and my school friends had mousy hair in high school, until she became a platinum blond. Ariel recently asked her if she were getting grey yet, since we are both starting to count some coming on. She answered, "I don't know and I never intend to find out."

When I was a teen my hair would get streaks from sun frosting or bleaching during the summer, as I was a very outdoors person. This was natural, nothing I did.

Some of the girls would be jealous and accused me of frosting/bleaching it.

Those were back in the days when I too was vane.

Vanity is great unless you take it seriously and believe what you look like really matters to anyone but yourself. It actually does of course, but you should never believe it, especially if you're ugly.

TigerFrog
I only used pro strength hair dyes and I had to do touch up about every 2 or 3 weeks. But I also dyed it such a dark, puncht red that it took a while for it to really fade much. Not to mention, I'm not out in the sun much so no fading there either.

Well... I think that you will like the new color LOL BTW... How's Ariel likin the shorter hair? Is she keeping it short or growing it out already?

OK Obviously I've made Alex wait long enough LOL So... I'll do a little photo montague...

Age 24, Natural Blonde about 6 months before I went red

Yeah yeah... nice frames huh? LOL!!

Dark Auburn... I used to dye just dark red, then discovered Darkest Auburn.

It isn't BLONDE BLONDE... more dishwater with strawberry highlights. The photo makes it look a little redder than it really is

Looks nice.
I think it looks more natural. I also like the auburn. gives your eyes a nice contrast. Has a deeper mood. I am also bias toward dark hair.
It is hard for me as each pose is a little different.
Did I say I like dark hair? Also I will take 1 good looking redhead over blondes everytime.

It looks GREAT!! I love it, and I love the bob... it's so tempting to not go back, but it's been years since I've had long hair, so I'm really going to try and grow mine out. But the whole short-in-the-back thing is so great!

Oh, I love the bob also. That isn't new though.
cheshireycat, I'm bias toward dark hair, raven blk. esp. Don't do it...My heart won't take it....I'm not as young as I used to be.

I never saw the bob in the back... makes me miss short hair so much!

But I will be patient, do not you worry, I'm really looking forward to long hair by summer.

Yeah it actually fits your complexion well, unlike a fiery blonde Eminem looking contrast.

Ok... a couple more. This time with natural light so you can see the color better.

Ok... so it doesn't show my hair much... but I thought it was a neat picture of myself LOL ya never know what you'll end up with when you are your own photographer LOL

And a Cheesy Smile

Yeah, Heather, that's the streaking I meant. I like the natural blond, too, but not the dark stuff on you. To me, dyed dark tends to look harsh. It needs to be naturally dark and you have to have the complexion to go with it, like Ariel does, or it ages you, makes a woman look "used" and a man look pretentious and ridiculous, especially if he is an old fart trying to appear younger by dying his hair.

Ariel still has short hair-- when you ar pushing 50, long hair to the knees is no longer attractive or convenient. I like her either way. She could look like a wart hog on the surface, but she's Ariel anyway-- the lady I love.
