Alive... yes... living... well that remains to be seen.

First... I apologize for my long silence. Things have been less than wonderful to put it lightly. Everything seems to have come to a screeching hault and I'm feeling... I don't know... stuck... lost... how ever you want to put it.

A quick rundown... I am still in the house, no sale yet and no real interest. Ella has moved in with her father for the time being (which is slowly killing me) and I REALLY do not like the idea of her spending more time with his new girlfriend than with me. But this is the arrangement that I have to live with until my own life finally finds some form of stability. I've decided to go back to school (Digital Photography) and supose to start in October, but I have been waiting for the last month and a half for finacial aid to get their act together and call me with some good news. Right now we are in a holding pattern while they try to get Sallie Mae to give me a loan. (They want a co-signer because of my lack of credit) Because of this lag, I have to wait to find out about student housing. If this doesn't all go through for school... well then I have no idea what I'll do. Back to the lack of credit... could be rather difficult for me to get an apartment.

I am no longer working at Josie's (accused of stealing... long story and I don't feel like getting into it. But downright rediculous to say the least) Sooo... no money... no car... basically no life to really speak of.

On a lighter note... Zero and Dozer are both doing very well. They are now over a year old. I believe that they are both males, but that's only going by size... they haven't done much calling to really confirm one way or another. Columbia is also doing very well, she has gained about 5 lbs and has grown a good 6 inches in the 2-3 months that I have had her.

I read through many many posts the last couple days and I'm glad to see that everyone is doing well and I hope to catch up with you all very soon. I'll be lurking here and there but due to my lack of a positive attitude, I may not post very often.

I miss you all terribly!!!!

Hey hon. Been wonderin how you been doin lately. Sucks to hear things are still going rough. I think you'll slide right into digital photograpy. Post-processing on the computer can be a lot of fun too. Everybody goes through rough patches, and Ella's a trooper.

You know you can call if you need to talk, emails down, and I have no idea when it's coming back up. My webhosts being a boner.

Anyways... Good to know your alive still, and hope things start looking brighter soon. Very soon. Tell those FAFSA b*stards to get thier act together or they'll have to deal with your froggie friends.

Yay webhost... Emails back up.

Oh Heather...glad to hear that you're still alive and doing well...so to speak. Sorry to hear about this rough patch you've seem to run into. It does suck to have Ella hanging out with ex hubby's new flame but YOU"RE her mother and she'll never forget that. Just try to keep it positive, although I know it's hard to do. One thing I've learned though...my hubby's parents are divorced as well. Got divorced while him and his sister were still pretty young. But his mother badmouthed his father like no tomorrow right in front of them. And when they were younger it really took a toll. Not to say that you are doing that in front of Ella...but I'm sure it's tempting sometimes. The result from that is they don't like their mother much even now that they're both grown. Sad...she can be nice when she wants to. lol Do you still get to visit her often?
That sucks about Josie's...they obviously don't know good people even when they're standing right in front of them. And you'll do great in dig photo...it really is fun. I play around with it in my spare time, editing on the computer that is. I use my digi cam now more than I use my 35mm. But I sit in front of a computer all day 5 days a week for work. So when I get home and on the weekends the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. lol Hope they get their arses straightened out with your loan. And if you need to talk you know how to get ahold of me...if you still have my email. If not then let me know.
Great to hear from ya and glad to hear the animals are all doing well.

Its nice to hear im not the only one going through some messed up stuffers

Forget all those sucky people, goodness people do suck sometimes. Are there any other good animal/pet store in your area? I suppose youll have to do some work while schooling. Ella sounds like such a smart girl, I dont think Daddys new life can brainwash her enough to forget her one and only Mommy. If you don't mind me saynig,I think its a good thing she is with him while you are going through these hardships. If your going through depression and have a load of stress, it really effects are little ones, so hopefully shes in a very positive situation and waiting for her good ol' mommy.

Just to make you feel better, i can help with some of my crap stories too if ya dont mind. Well, my boyfriend of 3 years was notified by his mother that she was moving states away, and he had one month to find a home and a job. Well doesnt that suck. Luckily we got an apt real quick due to a friend he went in with's very good credit(rent is $725 a month, very nice area). He was an ICS team leader in the walmart in turnersville,NJ, and told his boss 3 weeks in advance he needed to have his files and job transferred to the Phila,PA location. So all goes fine and dandy, we get moved into the apt. All of us spend a load of money on furniture and the tv,things like that. Then i break my hand at work, dammit. I was out for 4 weeks and their insurance does not cover compensation,so i have no idea whether or not im going to be paid for the time i missed. Then my boy goes to the new walmart hes suppossed ot start work in,to make sure the transaction all went ok,and they have no clue who he is. They dont have his file, his paperwork, and never spoke with his boss. So we go back to his old job and they admit they didnt send the paperwork in the personell dept. They wait 3 days to send it. In the meantime, the new Wal-Mart tells him they can't offer him the same position,he will have to work from 4-2am,and make $2 less then he was. So we suck it up and apply to more places, hoping for a better salary, and call wal-mart back 5 days later to see if theyve gotten his paperwork, and they still hadnt. They said they cant let him work until they have it,and theyve never gotten it,and still to this day havent(its been 3 wks). GRR. So in the meantime, my boy with no credit or a bank account, is living off of nothing except for my and our roomates donations(i dont mind, but the roomate SUCKS about it) To make matter worse, the car is has break and axel problems, and needs to be inspected, have its insurance and its tags swithched over by the 10th of Sept. and be paid the remaining money, $2000,which we have NO money for. He's applied to 17 places now and only a few have called back offering crap, but hes taking what he can,we just have to be careful because of that stinking car. To top it all off,our landlord just notified us we have till the First to pay our first months rent of $725,which apparently he collects at the beginning of the month, rather then after. Oh boy,is this going to be a rough one....
Dont worry babydoll,we're ALL going through crap.

Wow Sheryl...sorry to hear about that. Hopefully he's able to get a job. It's very hard nowadays. I was trying to relocate closer to home when we moved from VA to MD for hubby's restationing in Frederick and looked for 8 months and nothing. Or there were jobs but not paying enough. So I just sucked it up and still commute in hellacious traffic to VA every day. But the money is worth it. Don't know what I'll do if we get Germany in a year or so like we're hoping. I just better bust my butt to pay these bills off before then. I have faith that everything will work out for everyone suffering hard times right now.

Hey heather, I am glad to hear you're OK. I was wondering where you were, since it's been awhile
I wish ya luck with everything going on. Don't worry about Ella; I was about her age when my parents divorced, and somehow I made it through.
I know life throws us all these fastballs. Right now my financial situation is horrendous and somehow we have more money going out than coming in, and it makes me sick to my stomach every day just thinkin about it. Not to mention our house is infested with fleas. Ah well, I guess everything will work itself out somehow.

Ella seems to be doing rather well. the "ex" is having a difficult time holding a job (let go from the one that he had for almost 2 years, and now from the new one he just got last week because they decided to only temp him) So the only thing I'm not liking is that he keeps haing to pull her from school because he can't afford the $100 a week. SO that's been a lil tough on her, but... she'd rather be at home playing anyway. And with him not working and her not in school... I get to see her a lot more during the week while he's job hunting.

Finacial woes... oooooh I know all about that one all to well right now. I keep paying what I can but always have a balance carrying over to the next bill so I just can't seem to break even. And it's driving me batty!!! I keep telling myself "I'll all work out soon enough" and right now... that's all I can do.

I'm giving finacial aid until the end of the month and if they don't come through with SOMETHING I'm gonna tell them to shove it and I'll just go apply at Winn Dixie and figure it all out from there. What ever it's going to take at this point. It just makes me sooo mad because then I'll have waisted $100 on the application fee for school.

I'm blaming it all on our wonderful President Bush (who can kiss my white tooshy)... maybe... just MAYBE if he's stop sending money to rebuild Irac... then perhaps there would be some funding available for a single mother who only wishes to futher her education, better herself and be able to provide a proper life for her child. but NOOOOO... him and his cohorts seem intent on my turning to Welfare and the taxpayers. NOT FAIR!!!

Blah blah... I'm steppin off my soap box now before the men with the ear pieces come knockin on my door to take me away for badmouthing our Grand President.

Heather, glad you made it through the storm.I thought you may have moved to the east coast.
Sorry things are not brighter than they are. I sure hope they do turn around for the better in the near future.
Miss you (and others) not being around much anymore.
Do take care, pulling for you and ella.

Interesting Story....

I don't think it's anything that I've mentioned before, not that it makes a difference LOL But I am Wiccan. Now with the certain beliefs that I have, what happened today is that much more interesting than it may be to others... but it's kind of a funny story.

ANYWAY LOL I don't wear perfume, I wear essential oils, Patchouli oil to be exact. I started wearing it about 6 years ago when it was given to me by a goddess friend because I was going through a tough time. (Patchouli, BTW is a money oil... used in rituals to help boost ones finacial situation) Well I have worn it every day ever since. About a month and a half ago I ran out. Bummer... didn't really think too much about it, but had plans of picking some up. Now, in that time I lost my job at Josies and have been fighting with finacial aid. Soooo... today I finally took a walk over to the Wiccan store a few blocks away to see if they had my oil. Of course they did... now for the interesting part... as soon as I picked the freshly filled vial off the counter my cel phone rang... Finacial Aid!!! They are sending me some more paper work but as soon as they get it back everything will be in motion and we can then start with the paper work for Student Housing WOOHOO!!!! Hmm... perhaps my Patchouli was a little more important to my life than I thought?? BUT THERE'S MORE!!! One my walk home I crack open my vial and dab a lil oil on my wrists, then rub it in... I close the bottle and look down to put it in my purse. at the same time I notice something on the ground a few steps ahead of me. I found a $10 bill on the side walk... look around... nobody around to ask if they dropped it so I figure, finders keepers right? AAHHHH but we can't stop there... I get home and grab the mail then head in to the house. Plop myself down in my chair, feelin pretty good about myself because I got a call from the school AND found $10.. I'm doin good right? Wel I go through the mail and there's a package from Ella's Great Grand Parents (actually they are my step fathers aunt and uncle but don't have any cihldren of their own so to them Ella is their Great Grand baby) The usual package from them... crayons, stickers a coloring book and a cute little outfit. Only this time there is an extra envelop in there to me. I open the envelope only to find $200 in CASH!!!!!

All I can say right now is...

THANK YOU GODDESS MOON!!!! Blessed Be!!!!

So those of you out there with finacial difficulties... find yourself a local Wiccan shop and get yourself some Patchouli and WEAR IT!!!

Heather, I studied the Wiccan religion extensively in high school and early college, and found it quite fascinating. Even now a great deal if my clients are proudly pagan, and my mehndi (henna) sessions with them are absolutely my favorites. I custom mix batches of paste for them using all sorts of herbs and oils, and many of the ladies swear by them. One older witch grows and dries her own herbs for me to use, and also loves designing patterns using various symbols and runes for me to apply, and they always come out wonderful. She loves my custom Sandalwood, Chamomile, and Patchouli paste with water that has been boiled with chives, then strained. I add a touch of Lavender for aroma and Eucalyptus for staining power, and together we come up with wonderful results. I've got to take some pictures next time I see her.
Its odd, I didn't know that you were Wiccan, but I'm not surprised. It suits you, or you suit it, if such a thing is possible. As my neighbor says, "Very cool."
Congrats on your good luck.

Come to think of it, I've got a picture floating around the internet of the fertility goddess on a pregnant belly, I'll try to find it. It is one of the best belly peices I've ever done.

Whitney I have the most increadible sculpture that I had done about 2 weeks before Ella was born. It is sooo amazing to look at this piece and see what I looked like. The artist that had done it, did a fantastic job! I gave her conplete control over the final outcome and she gave it a VERY earthy feel. She put this green glaze on it and added grape leaves and a snake. It has a very "Mother Nature" feel to it. I'd post a picture... but I don't want the nudity to offend anyone.

I personally happen to love the smell of patchouli myself. Had some years ago, not sure where it came from because I got it from a friend of mine that wore it religiously and now can't find it anywhere that smells the same. That's all great news too Heather....now if we can just find someone to buy that darn house of yours!

It sounds awesome, Heather. I wish I had something as artistic to commemorate my pregnancy.

Anywho, I did this one today on a friend of a friend. I can't wait to see how the stain comes in.

WOW!!!! I have always wanted to have that done. I tried to do it myself once... but well... I'm not very artistic LOL so it just ended up looking like an orange kool aid stain on my hands LOL

If there isn't anyone that would be offended by the *whispers* boobies of the sculpture, I'll post the picture. It's really awesome!!!

Sorry for all the rough things, folks. I guess I can say things have also been rough for me, but in very different ways. Well, not so different--problems with the ex, and problems with the now (my own problems, no one new in my life). But I am having a great time regardless.

Heather, just keep at it... keep trying, and keep wearing that oil. Heck, I'm definitely going to go get some, too, *just incase.*
