I know that not to use "Pain reliever" creams on frogs. Well I have a newt with a open wound. I have on me equate triple antibiotic ointment plus. Whats the chemical I should look out for. I would go to CVS and get neosporin but im snowed in in 3 ft of snow. It does say "Pain Relieving Ointment" on the bottle. So I am nervous if this would kill my Newt but maybe it doesn't have the same effect on Newts like the pain reliever has on frogs. Anyone Know?

Don't use it. Generic is okay but not any w/ pain reliever.

Why kiss a frog to turn into a Prince, when you can kiss a Prince to turn into a frog! ?

thankyou, yes i will wait until tomorrow to get the proper meds. I was curious as frogs are different than newts. Most of the time Newts will regenerate limbs or heal up sores on there own but I want to help my newt out faster.

Any amphibian has permeable skin, so the same rule applies to your newt. That creme would have euthanized your net.JVK

jesse?
