Queen rocks...

and Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle" is amazing.

I think it's no secret that I'm a hardcore Pixies fan. Frank Black, in general. I also like a lot of different things. I love Ludacris and Missy Elliot, and Billy Joel. I could give a huge list, U2, Astrud Gilberto (just about any Brazilian Jazz), Cake, Sade, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Devo, a bunch of stuff.

Yeah, I like DMX and 50 cent too. I used to listen to a lot of U2, Jon Bon Jovi and Collective Soul over the past few years and I still love listening to those groups.

When I'm out at the pool or in vacation, I prefer hearing some hyspanic-like musik such as Jessie Cook (man he plays guitar well).

As for the slows on a dance floor, I tend to say I'd prefer hearing some old school musics like Led Zeppelin (dyermaker and stairway to heaven are great), Jon Bon Jovi has many good ones too,...

And if I'm with friends around a campfire, I love instrumental like Joe Satriani and Dream Theater.

I like about anything but Punk, Pop and Celine Dion. Please, I hope nobody here loves Celine Dion, she's from Quebec but I'm truly not proud of it. I hate her music.

I can't stand Celine Dion, either. I do like *some* pop and punk, though. But please, no whining.

Led Zeppelin rocks, just don't have me driving while listening to Classic Rock, because I'm likely to get a ticket. Collective Soul is pretty cool, although a tad corny, lol. Bon Jovi is quite corny, but there are some great classics.

I think Ludacris is a genius. I forgot to mention that I also love Outkast. I usually listen to rock, but I have my quality rap-dudes I love. Raggae is nice, too. I love Beenie man with the song "Romy," lol.

she left I havent listened to much music lately, i never really have time. But when I do its something like underground hardcore stuff my boyfriends always playing in his car or shows we go to. or 80s music,i loooove 80s music as of lately. i dont know why,its so cheesy you cant help it. i used to be into other stuff like marilyn manson, and all that crap but music stinks anymore. thats why i like older music like the doors, zepplin, pink flloyd, etc because it never changes and it never gets boring no matter how many times youve heard it. i really like deftones,311, system of a down, sex pistols(with sid vicious, hes just too much fun), stuff like that. My fav song is the safety dance by Men without hats, i love that stupid song.

Lol, Sheryl "My fav song is the safety dance by Men without hats, i love that stupid song." I was going to put that one, too. I also love 80's stuff, and the Safety Dance is may favorite, also. I like a bunch of it, though

Anyway, there's way too much stuff being mentioned, but I have to keep up!! I like Classic Rock a lot, but Pink Floyd never really got to me. Can't kick with that, lol.

Eagles are cool, Sex Pistols, Deftones are alright, I haven't heard enough 311 to pass judgement, Bjork is cool, but it's gotten a little old, except that I love Isobella (or is it Isobel). I dig Portishead a considerable amount, and Bjork always reminds me of it.

I've never heard of Akira, but I'll have to check them out--along with the one's Froglove put

Ronie Size is really nice, um, havne't heard enough Gorillaz, but I like UNKLE.

A bunch of other stuff was also cool (I LOVE rag-time and swing jazzes.. I love most jazz and blues). And a bunch of stuff I've never even heard.

http://anduin.eldar.org/~brad/anime/Akira.html

Theres a kind of over-view of Akira, its an anime. You can get it at Amazon for sure, but it might be cheaper to buy somewhere else. From the rest of your taste I think you would like it chesh, but you might need to watch it a few times before it makes a whole lot of sense.

Sorry correcttion to my earlier post -Vangelis did the music from Bladerunner, my 2nd fav sound track. Akira was by Yamashiro shoji

Shoji is amazingly brilliant. He likes to work with 'real sounds' so in the making of the akira sound track he flew in loads of obscure musicians, drummers only found in one himilayan town, balinese tantra, and all these mad poeple from all over the world. That is how music sounds should be gathered.

Oh, I've seen Akira the movie.. with the motorcycles and stuff. I thought you meant a band I didn't realize you meant the soundtrack (if that's what you mean). I do remember liking one of the songs from the movie to the point that I recorded as much as I could onto a tape, but that was about six years ago.

My favorite band is called Type O Negative, damn they're awesome! I also like music from many different angles; the beatles, kmfdm, depeche mode, guns n roses, slayer, the cult and OLD metallica are all among my favorites. And I hear ya about the 80's stuff, makes me get all nostalgic; but I love New Wave!

Yeah, Depeche Mode rocks! So do the Beatles and Guns n' Roses New Wave is the best--I was going to mention New Order before, but forgot to add it in the end. I love I like some cornier stuff, too--Seal, Duran Duran, other stuff. Rachmaninoff for classical music, mostly. Love Flying Lizards, the Waitresses' "I Know What Boys Like", other fun things. Really like this band called "the Stars," like a lot of electronica, PLENTY of things!
