I have two Large American Bull Frogs! I have been told I can feed them live feeder mice. Has anyone tried this and is it safe for the frogs?

Where did you get them? What kind of set up are they in?

Yes they can be fed feeder mice occasionally, but not required. They also need huge enclosures as well.

You might want to go even bigger then that. I had a bull frog for a while and kept him in a 72 gallon tank, and even that was too small for him.

You should check out Lisa's Blue Bull Frog tank, URL

I was thinking bigger I have two other bull frogs that are quite smaller but plan to put them together some day when they are closer to the same size!

Yeah, the 20 long is too small for even a baby bullfrog. I would go with at least a 90 gallon, bigger if possible.

I read up lots on Bullies a while back, and a lot of people that kept them as pets recommend keeping them in a tank that is at least 6 feet long, as these frogs are able to jump that far.

I looking in to making an enclosure for them how deep should the water be and what kind of materials can I use to construct this? I think I'm going to got 8 foot long by 2 foot wide but not sure how tall and how much should be land / water?

1/3 land, the rest water. Depth is of no concerns as long as they have a way to get out of it. A gradual slope or something for them to use as steps.

2' tall should be a good height as well. Man if you built an 8x2x2 enclosure... I think they'd be quite happy!! That's about 240 gallons!
