I want to order some crickets in bulk, but don't want them to be too big by the time I get to the end of using them. I have 3 gray tree frogs. they are not full grown. I am ordering 1000 and am wondering what size I should order. Do you think 1/4 inch would be okay or should I go with 1/8 inch? How fast do they grow?

That's tricky, I've been trying to figure this out myself. You will always end up with at least 20-40 overgrown crickets in the end. Well at least for myself.

That's why I bought a bearded dragon to give him the left overs. Although little did I realize how many crickets bearded dragons eat! lol It's okay, we love him to death.

If you only have 3 frogs, your 1000 will be way overgrown by the time you feed off 250-500. I would get 500 or 250 at about 2 sizes smaller than you really need them.

They grow pretty fast. They reach full size by 8 weeks I think. If you look at a chart on one of the sites that sells crickets that shows the size + the age in weeks you can see how fast they grow. Sorry I don't have a link already bookmarked to show you.
