when I got these roaches in april they were tiny and now that they have matured I finally have my first batch of roaches! Finally!!! I think the oranges worked!! I looked in on them, after I moved and there must have been 3 dozen tiny babies running around the tank! Keep producing....I have a lot of frogs!

WHat kind of roaches are you keeping? I have discoids (3 colonies) started them about 2 years ago. Mine were really slow to take off but as soon as I gave them cricket water they started breeding like wildfire!! As a matter of fact I'm looking to sell some off -- My beardies don't eat as many as are being produced - - and the leopard gecko is on a hunger strike AGAIN... haven't fed them to the frogs though - - I think their exosekelton may be a little hard (discoids) for them....

Congrats on the success - -

Wick, if you lived in Florida and roaches were breeding you would run for the Raid, not post a thread, just something to consider if you move to Florida

So true, Bill. Raid must be kinda like mittens and hats up north or Saturday nite bean suppers at your local grange hall.

Ah, thanks! I was thinking there was a mysterious spring somewhere, or something.

Yea oranges seem to make them breed like crazy. Are you breeding Dubias? Mine were really slow when i got them last December (only 150) but yesterday i saw that i had around 1500. You'll have more roaches than you need pretty soon.
