I just keep mine like a green tree frog. There is an article on them in the new repitles magazine. They get pretty big, but not as big as a cuban, and they are usually males in the hobby, because they locate them by there call, when they catch them. Mine usually just sits on his piece of wood, all day, and night, until a cricket passes by his face, then wham. But just keep them as you would a GTF.

I've never seen one in real life but they overlap habitats and where they live in those habitats with GTFs, supposedly.

i have two, and i keep them in a 30 gal. tall. with about 3 inches of gravel, and a thick layer of moss on top, and i made a small pool area. and put in some peace lillies, philodendron and some arrow head plants with some big sticks in there and bark all over tha back wall. they seem to be reall happy in there.

They are indigenous to the same areas you would find gtf's care is basically the same. There are a few nice color variations too.

they say you can put them in a ten gallon... but I would go with the standard 20 gallon for one and 10 gallons per additional one. So my guess would be 6 tops.

damn 6? i think its like past 40 gallons you only need to add an additional 5 gallons isnt it? I think you could fit atleast 8 or 9 in a 70.

I've never heard that, Sheryl, but I've always thought that would make perfect sense. I think it should be like a 20 for one, 30 for two, 38 for three, 35 for four, or something like that... like a curved graph of some sort, although it's just a thought.

i heard that somewhere. but once the tank gets bigger it wouldnt matter much would it? unless it is a mixed species tank, but those are no-nos anyways. makes sense to me. Ive never been lucky enough to have a big tank like that so i wouldnt know.

Yeah, but it's just something that works for everything else and it would totally change the pattern of how things work to do that... Am I making sense? I'm speaking more with an idea than with words, but, if it works with life it should work with frog tanks...
