Hya guys. Thank you all for all the kind words, concern and encouragement, it truly means a great deal to me.
I have gotten the results back today from the bloodwork they did yesterday and they are promising. My Hcg levels (the hormone you only have while you are pregnant which steadily increases every 48 hours throughout pregnancy and then drops after pregnancy - or in the case of a miscarriage, fetal death etc) have increased from 980 to 1703. We were also able to determine that by the possible dates of conception (good thing I was keeping close track of them) that I am 5 weeks and 3 days today so it is perfectly normal for them not to be able to detect a fetal heartbeat. All good news and hopefully it will continue to go the same. I go in tomorrow to repeat the tests and if they have risen again we will then schedule an ultrasound.
As for my father-in-law, he had the cardiac cath done yesterday and it showed no blockages. He does have some type of cardiac dysfunction and they will be doing more tests to determine exactly what the problem is the first of next week. It's looking like a rythym problem which could mean anything from needing corrective neds to a pacemaker - but all in all, much better prognosis than needing bypass surgery.
Thanks again for all the toughts and prayers guys. You all are just wonderful.

That's great news, Becki! I'm new here (obviously, since I'm still eggs ), but I found myself wondering how you were doing (and Whitney, too, until I read the post from her brother). Now I understand how my son has made so many friends on his Anime (that's Japanese animation, for the uninitiated) sites. It's amazing how quickly you get a picture of someone after reading the kind of advice and support they give!! I hope things continue to go well! Lee (not to be confused with the scientific Lee who knows so much!)

Becki! I'm so happy that everything is ok so far. Get ready then, because thise moment of calm will end in another 2 weeks or so. You're at a BIG growth spur, so that little one could just be soring up energy. I remember it was around 7-8 weeks when I first felt Ella move an it was "STRONG" I coulen't believe that something so small could make itself so known LOL

Glad to hear that there aren't any blockages for your FIL and I send you and your family my best.

Keep us updated!!

Becki,
This has been the best news!
I read Whitneys post the other night and was so taken back that I found myself stareing at the monitor for 15 mins. just trying to form words that wouldn't sound shallow and couldn't. Then I went directly to your post and got another shock! I felt terrible and just numb.
From the bottom of my being I wish you and your love ones the best!
Lynn

Becki, I'm so glad for you and your family! I pray that there is much more good news to come which will help balance out all of the hardships everyone seems to be facing lately.

Aw, that is GREAT NEWS, Becki! I'm so happy that everything is okay and I hope everything stays this way. Are you excited about another baby, I mean, could you not be? What are you hoping for, a girl this time or another boy? Your hubby? Heh, I LOVE KIDS.

Becki, you know how excited I am for you! I've got everything crossed for you, and like we said on the phone, we are tough broads, you and I. I know you are going to be just peachy, and remember that I'm here if you feel the need. Thanks for everything and good luck!
