What kind of frog is it? I know my dart frogs have about 2 hours out of the tank before they will die, (or so i've read) and my fire belly toads have about a day or two.

One time i had 2 FBT escape, i found one of them, alive, curled up in a wet towl that was left on the floor in front of the fish tank, from a cleaning, the next day. The other I found 4 days later....looked like a beef-jerky frog.

I was watching a show the other day about frogs, and there was a clip from Australia where they were finding Whites tree frogs, wild ones, in the public toilets at various parks. They would tuck them selves under the lip of the toilet bowl and hide there.
Not the safest place to hide, but if they are looking for a water source...well lets just say you wouldn't want them to get flushed accidentally.

If he goes missing again, look through and under your furniture. When I had FBTs that's where they ended up if they got out.

look at where the cat is staring.. it worked for me, thats how I found my pacman... it decided to climb out of its 15gal... it never did it again tho
the water dishes around your place is pretty much the best way to find your frogs

Help! My green tree frog escaped while I was returning him to his terrarium after cleaning it! I have a lot of plants n the room......is he likely to head there or should I also put out a dish of just plain water? His roommate keeps croaking to him......any chance he will respond to that & make his way home? My dogs r usually best @ finding escapees (they don't try to eat them) but no luck with this rescue attempt! Thx!

peacefrog1226, follow the suggestions and you should get your frog to come out. Water is something they need. And it will work. I found a frog of mine when I was a kid in the bathroom tub. One word, water.
