Hya guys! I had posted a few days ago about the FBT I had who was sick with an infection - bum eye, etc. I have been treating him for 4 days now and can see no improvement with the cloudiness of the eye yet but he is a bit more active, able to move around a wee bit more than just in circles and he did accept a worm and cricket that I handfed him tonite where he had not eaten on his own or taken anything from me for days. I am hoping he is on his way to recovery but am still guarded about his prognosis. Unfortunately, his former cagemate is now showing some discoloration on her skin and I am worried that she may have cotracted whatever the affecting pathogen is from him when they were caged together. I began treating her with a much milder medication last night and she is still eating and acting fine so we'll see how it goes. I hope they can both oull through and have long happy lives with me but if not and I do lose them I have definitely decided that I have to have some of these in my collection. They are wonderful little critters! So please keep your fingers crossed and I'll keep you posted.
Cheers!

Well, I hope they both improve more. FBTs are neat little critters, aren't they. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my FBTs.

You need to separate them. And eating and moving around more is a good sign that it's doing better.

Zook, I'm sure they are separated. Becki said his "former cagemate" might be sick, and I'm sure Becki would quarantine any sick frog, so no worries about that!

Thanks guys! And yes, they are seperated. I'm thinking more now that the discoloration I was noticing is just her "thing" as she is only like this at night I have now noticed and was told that they do things of this nature to attract the opposite sex. I am also thinking now that she may be a he, and maybe he may not be a he....lol. They are both so young and small it's not the easiet to tell but I'm almost positive that while Cate was here that we both heard a new unidentified froggie sound and tracked it to "Lilo" so we may have to rename them. And I'm also very happy to say that I am mega surprised that Stitch's eye is looking much clearer the past 2 days! 'He' hasn't eaten again for me yet but the eye does look better - not cleared up completely but it was completely clouded over where you could not see the pupil or iris and you can now see both, kinda like it's now hazy instead of cloudy. I'm going to continue with the meds through Wednesday of this week and play it by ear from there. Keep you fingers crossed for 'him' - I'm really tickled that he's showing any improvement at all as I really thought it was too late for him. Thanks again guys!
