My WTF, who is about 8 years old, seems to be having a hard time breathing. His throat will fill up with air and get really big and then it will deflate and he will usually make a high pitch squeaking sound. He then sometimes opens his mouth and then closes it.
He has been sleeping during the day and waking up at night around 9 like usual and while he is sleeping he seems to not have a hard time breathing.
He usually makes a lot of mating calls during this time of the year, but he hasn't since around May.
He has been shedding more than he a should, a few times a week, and when he opens his mouth it looks like there is skin stuck in his mouth.
He usually eats a dusted mealworm every other day, but now I'm lucky if he eats once a week. He is really active at night, so I'm not too worried about him not eating right now.
Also, a few weeks I noticed three white spots on his face. I gave him anti-bacterial fish medicine and those cleared up shortly after.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Could it just be old age? Are there any non-prescription treatments I could try? Thanks!

If he has skin in his mouth it means he's shedding they eat the skin. It seems like normal shedding.I don't know my whites' sheds often and is healthy. Try to feed crickets more they have less fat.

I don't think you should worry.

Its been another week and he still hasn't eaten. He is still really active, more like hyperactive. I noticed a bubble coming out of one of his nostrils a few minutes ago when I tired to feed him.

Sounds like a bad respiratory infection, may want to go to a vet, Bill

I gave him anti-bacterial fish medicine and those cleared up shortly after.

I wonder if that may have contributed to this infection? Unfortunately, it looks like you'll need a vet for this one.

So, I'm planning on taking him to the vet next week. Since he still hasn't eaten, until then I got him Flucker's Repta Aid insectivore/Carnivore emergency aid. So far Im having a hard time getting the syringe in his mouth to feed it to him, but I managed to get a drop in tonight. Also, the guy at the petstore said I could soak him in a bath of half Reptisafe water conditioner and half water for 10 minutes a day, because it contains electrolytes. Has anyone tried this? I'm kinda concerned because it says it lowers pH so if the bath was that concentrated would it make the pH really low?

Any ideas?

Not that I am aware of. Most here will do a pedialyte + water soak for an electrolyte boost. I can't remember the ratio of each, but if you search it you should find it.
