A. get that frog @ 75 bucks
B. save the $75, put it away and get the new iphone 3Gs.. which I want badly.

I just spotted this post, and called and left a voice mail. I cannot imagine what possessed him to put it in "general"; I would never have seen it there. Thanks, Cherisse.

Frog Style, I think there are two frogs, not one -- and it's a really pretty stand. But I understand about the phone. It's getting harder and harder for dinosaurs like myself to find pay phones, because most persons have cells.

Did you get the frogs Grace? If so, I'd LOVE to see them. I felt bad about emailing and wanting to have, then my other half said no.... sigh. I currently have the 3g iphone, but with no job, my parents won't let me get the new phone just "yet".

Anyway, there's 2? I must have misread the post then! Either way, it's a steal for $75... Just can't get it right now. I love the tank they're in though!

He has not called me back yet, but if that whole thing comes with it, I probably will. The frogs would not be discombobulated by new surroundings, which should cut down on any stress. The one in the picture looks very healthy.

Since the original ad was posted Friday, someone else may have gotten them by now, though. I don't have the internet at home, so I didn't see Cherisse's post until today.

but if that whole thing comes with it

If I read right it says $30 for the frogs and $50 for the tank.....or just $75 all together.

Yep, I read it the same way. I was interested in the stand, too, as the aquarium appears to be rounded front. However, he never called me back, and the ad seems to have been pulled, so I guess it's been sold.

Another listing:

http://boise.craigslist.org/pet/1260475519.html

Maybe the price could be negotiated? with or without the Whites?

I saw that one this morning, but moved on. I have five White's Tree Frogs, and I plan to get five more blue phase when Bill's tadpoles morph later this month or next month. I think I will be set, then, for White's.

I also kind of choked at the price. They indeed got ripped. I have no need for aquariums any more -- I have more than I can fit in my house, and enough large ones to keep all my frogs in comfort. It's too much money for me.

There was a nice ad on Craig's List for a toad, though. I emailed them about that one. Right now the only toad I have is the free Firebelly I got from ILoveGreen. I like toads. This one seems to be a Western Toad, like my late, very lamented Matilda.

Hi, Cherisse.

Yep, saw that one. I now have eighteen tree frogs, and I still haven't gotten the blue phase White's from Bill. So I moved on, again. I think I'm good for tree frogs, unless someone has one which needs rescuing. But thanks for thinking of us.

Funny thing about the toad I mentioned in my July 10th post. I negotiated with the boy, and I was going to go get it that day after work, but his mother could not wait until 5:30 to get it out of the house, it would seem, and turned it loose. Too bad. I was looking forward to having another Western Toad.

Yep. Saw that one. I have two -- Prunella and Howard. Prunella was a rescue, and I purchased Howard at the Federal Way Zamzow's to keep her company. I used to have them at work, but someone complained, so now they live in my yard, until the weather turns cooler. (In water, under the porch rooflet overhang, in the shade. Have no cows, anybody .....)

Someone listed a five foot iguana and custom cage today, too. Very nice. It is bigger than my house, but nice anyway.

They are a lot of fun. I used to have these two in the bathroom, but they don't need the humidity, and now I keep my White's Tree Frogs in the bathroom, instead.

I particularly enjoy watching ACF's eat. They stuff the food in with both hands.

I finally got around to getting with Bill about the five blue phase Whites I've been waiting on. I'm getting excited to have them. He says they're about the size of a quarter now.

The downside of it is that I will now have to name the other two Whites I have not named, because I need to be able to re-use the names One, Two, and Three, and I've never named Two or Three. (Previously-called-One is Orion, because of the pattern of spots on his side.)

Cherisse -- someone keeps advertising two green frogs on Craig's List, from Nampa. Doesn't that one look like a Whites to you? They're now taking offers.

those are both stock photos, so either they have two different species in the tank, or they dont know that those photos are of two different frogs...

Nine, yes. What are they going to be wanting to eat? I have about three sizes of cricket in addition to every possible size of lobster.

Hey Sue,
Are you the one that always goes to the Fairview Zamzows? One of the ladies that works back in the reptile/bird area says there's a lady who comes in by the name of Sue, that has roughly around 60 frogs!

Yep, that would be me, but it's only about 50, until I get the nine from Cherisse. The only one I have that I got there, right now, is Pernell, my Cranwelli Pacman. I got my ornate, Persnickety, at the Zamzow's in Meridian, the old one. The new Meridian one has frogs mixed together in tanks, as does the one on the Boulevard in Nampa. Makes me nervous.

I also bought my late, lamented European Green Toad, Blossom, there. They've never gotten another one in. I used to buy live rodents there for the bullfrog, when I was trying to build him back up.

Is that your favorite Zamzow's, too?

I don't go to zamzows much anymore, as they seem to always screw us out of the crickets we bag ourselves (atleast the one in meridian and on federal way) so we've been going to PetCo/PetSmart for those. I like the fairview one the most, as it's close when we leave PoJos or what have you -- going back to our house, lol.

Their setups are pretty friendly, vs other stores I've been too. One of these days we'll run into each other LOL!

I expect we will. Pam said she offered some rescue frogs to the "other frog lady" last week, but she turned them down. That was probably you .... I didn't turn them down, but no one ever called, so the owner apparently found another place to offload the frogs and anole.

I buy my crickets online in bulk, except for emergencies. The unfortunate thing about their crickets, in addition to the price, is that they don't always have any small enough for my tinier frogs, which is why I breed cockroaches. I can always scrounge up a few days' worth of good tiny frog meals in the cockroach bin, while waiting for a shipment of crickets to arrive.

I haven't bought crickets at Federal Way, but I did get Howard, my male ACF, there. They have some nice frogs, with less mixing than the other stores around here. That Zamzow's seems to have the best handle on how to care for their frogs. Cherisse used to work there; that might have something to do with it.

I buy crickets with two other women, so we share the shipping cost that way. It makes them considerably cheaper. If you want to join the cooperative buying group, just let me know. We get crickets from Josh's Frogs, overnight delivery, every two or three weeks.

I like the Zamzow's on Fairview the best, too. It's most convenient to my house, and it's older and clunkier, which appeals to me. The pretty new ones are nice and airy, but I like old, comfortable, and crowded better.
