I'll be getting 3 juvy amazon milk frogs in the near future.
I'll be having them in a sterile type environment while I work on the viv.

My question is what does everyone with naturalistic looking vivariums do to re-create the tree holes or crevasses that milks use to breed.

The viv will be a GS Background with whatever is used to make the tree holes. EggCrate false bottom topped with ABG mix soil and some leaf litter for tops. I'll see it with spring tails not because the frogs will eat them but because they act as my personal janitors and I like it lol.

So back to the tree holes and such. I was thinking of using a similar film canister method used for thumbs in PDF"s but much larger, something like cut out flower pots ( the green ones you get when you buy plants )... I figure those would be large enough to fit the adult sized Milks and would give them the feeling of "being in a hole" and if the Background is GS then it sorta feels/looks like a tree.

Ideas???

Welcome to TheFrog!

If you want the best advice on this, email JerryB. He is the guy to ask..send him an email. You may be making this into more then they need in my opinion. So a more simple set up when you they are ready may be better. You can search on here for JerryB and get his email.
