This one pacman I've had for around 5 years now, always been quite aggressive and just... plain mean
very quickly at the beginning it started ignoring crickets cause it looks like it was just not enough for ma'am
then I also stopped feeding earthworms cause the frog would just aim my hand instead
then it looked like adults dubias were big enough but I am finding out that my frog is still just aiming for my hand again... It's like it doesn't see the roach!!! or don't care cause it's too small...
This pacman is able to eat two adult hamster in a night! It already bit my finger and beleive me, it's much stronger than what most people would think! It bit me on the skin, right before where your nail starts so it was kindo hardcore... I thought my first phalanges might have been cracked.

now I see you guys coming; why are you not using tongs genius!? The thing is... I am... the frog just ignore the bugs, tongs and just go for my freaking hand X_O
seriously what the hell is wrong with that frog!!!!!
I don't know what to do... I can't feed it rodent all the time, and not like I am gonna find bigger bugs just for that capricious frog!
oh well.... I guess I'll start wearing gloves !!!

Just another good reason to let them hunt their own food.

Well I feed dubias so if the frog miss, the dubias will burrow
also, the frog would eat shitload of coco fiber... I dunno..

I use 12 inch metal tongs for my girl... I still have her eating worms but she resents it, she take down a dozen and be like really, B**** that's the best you can do? I let her free hunt crickets and roches, she has no probs with the coco coir passing thru, I just double rinse and sift it before putting it in her cage with treated tap water....she is a handful and a half and she is only 2...but i love her personality, reminds me of myself as a teenager - LOL

My pacman I had used to ignore crickets as well. I guess they were too fast for it and perhaps too small for it to pay attention to. Although sometimes if they were dusted white by the calcium powder they would stand out more.

Also you could try putting the frog in a clean tub with no coco fiber and let it hunt in the tub with minimal risk to your hands except for when you have to grab the frog to put it in the other tub. But that should be easier than dangling your temping hand in front of the frog...

I have a question about the bedding I am using I went today and got the forest moss and I read that it could kill her if ingested I was wondering if I could mix in the coconut fiber to cut back on the chance of killing her and still keep the tank nice and humid for her and also she seems to have stopped growing and I haven't done anything different in her diet should I be concerned???

I suggest you start another thread if you have a question of your own
but to answer you, you should really keep pacman frog on coco fiber only, and I suggest a false bottom to keep the substrat always moist

what are you feeding your frog? how much? please give us information is you want help, we can't guess!
