I've been wanting to have a pixie frog for some time now and, thanks to
Mac at the Steel City show, I got a juvie. Im just really excited to have one this young to work with. Between him(I really want a "him") and the tiger leg froglets I got from porkchop Im really starting to extend my comfort zone and with that my experience. Too cool. Big thanks to Mac and Porkchop. Always knowledgable with healthy syock.

Those leaves are not giving off anything such as a smell right? I am not sure of leaves. I never collect them, I don't trust 'em.

Looks like a boy to me. He's a bit dirty though, but the best way to tell with dwarfs, the males have lots of yellow coloring on their throat area, and the females have very little to no yellow coloring.

Thank you Brian - It is always a pleasure to chat with you at the shows. And thank you for the goodies

I ended up with 4 of them guys myself by the end of the show

The leaves are fine. I have some in with my guys as well.

I should hope so...I got the leaves from you a couple shows ago..

Thats it on the pics so far. He's camera shy. He did take to eating from tongs really quick. Eating hornworms and Nightcrawlers like a pig. So much fun.

Pretty sure its a he as well. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how big I should expect him to get. Wanting to know from people who actually keep them.

I can, but I don't keep them, so I will stay quiet.

I have a few dwarfs, they are my favourite frogs.
I have 1 full sized male, and 4 juveniles (1 male, 1 female, and 2 probable males)
Adult males should be under 5", usually 4-1/2" to 4-3/4" SVL. Adult females are usually 1/2" smaller then the males.
This is a video of a group that I bought last August, (I only have the one male left from this group) Pyxie Frog Food Fight

Brian - Check out those pics. They ahouls give you an idea.

We are talking regalar pixes correct? Not dwarfs?

If that is the case they get bigger than 5".

Hydro and a few others are saying dwarf. Im not 100% sure what he is. It'd be awesome if he is a giant, but I like him either way. This is a little new to me as I mainly keep tree frogs. Gotta say that if Hydro says dwarf gonna have to go with that given his particular pedigree. I went straight to his caresheet for info.

Just so you can see the difference between the two sexes
