I bought some ornaments at Michaels Craft store today. They are made out of resin and can be painted. I plan on using them when I redecorate one of my terrariums. I was just wondering if there was any frog safe paint that can be used? Is there any sort of top-coat that needs to be applied afterwards?

i dont think there is any 100% safe paint
acrylic paint would be your best bet, but still, i would highly recommand sealing anything you wish to paint with epoxy

this paint is non toxic, but it still isn't suited for frog vivs...
you NEED to seal it

non toxic doesnt mean froggy safe

Unless used on the outside of vivs as recommended on the website.

I saw an earlier recommendation for acrylics, which are water soluble, so you have to REALLY seal them good if you use that.
Regardless of what you end up doing, that sounds like an interesting idea for a viv. I'd be interested to see pics of it once you're done redecorating.

ohh grimm's mushrooms eheh this guys is from edmonton and he is one of the top viv builder in canada imo
check this out
be sure to watch part 2 ;)

he has incredible skills and is very innovative..

acrylic is indeed water soluble in the long run, so i would definately seal submerged stuffs while I might not do so for normal rocks... it really depends !
you really dont want your frog to soak in water with tiny acrylic particles..
