they may not be viable unless i worry too much. how will i know? :/ otherwise we can always try again and im sure it will happen will keep updating. its exciting at the least. wonder of the water temps are too cool?? so far no major molding or anything. i see a hemisphere. lots of eggs i know that. we'll see.

NVM temps are cooler so they may take a bit longer to hatch out of egg i am thinking. probably a few days but a LOT look to be forming the spinal ridge and also very ever so slightly elongating.

looks like we have a lot of tads that are going to hatch today or tomorrow only about 10-20 of all of them didnt start to develop. with this rapid if development i would think there is going to be a lot of hatching coming up

pretty darn close bill! my frog room is very cool so i expected a 12 hour possible lapse ;) but yep they are hatching now as we speak there are a LOT of tads. i'd say so far 10% loss of non fertile ones etc. now.... on to deciding after week 1 what to house all these tads in. not looking forward to the maintenance and thanks jesse!

tads are doing great! we have a LOT of success! I can see eyes and gill fillaments on them. I just droped a tad bit of chorella/spirunila algae in for today. want them to get feeding which they are right this second before i start a high quality ground up fish flake food. I will remove them ( attempt LOL) on friday to a big tub with a sponge filter i am thinking. Any suggestions appreciated.

i know tell me about it. i'm about over Z head lately with baby on the way. I think i'm gonna leave parents in viv. If they decide to take a swim which they do everynight they love the water then i feel they will naturally cull their own eggs possibly. we shall see as i have a ton of tads! not just these frogs either. I didnt do anything i swear. LOL. i just turkey basted out the previous tads ( daunting task) into a tub and then put parents back in and have been feeding heavily since im feeding my Annae tree frogs heavily in preparation to breed those so they got the extra meals. misting is the same...Mike N. just sent me a very frisky trio i guess downstairs is full of dart frogs eggs, high end crested gecko eggs, mossy tree frog tads and eggs, and mily tree frog tad and eggs now. ( insert little drowning smiley here). on the upside i finally got to hear what a milky frog call sounds like! LOL!

because of the cricket bill coming up and the baby arriving. not easy when you have a painful c-section and new baby to care for. I have plenty of frogs, these frogs are not endangered and they will continue breeding i am sure. its birthcontrol for the frogs lol. just responsibilities that take priority is all. i spend atleast 100 on crickets per week for a few species of tree frogs. add in 300 froglets to feed and that may go up to a couple hundred per week in feeder insects. thats a lot of $ these days especially when my baby is almost here. just less than 2 weeks and she may be in my arms

sell the tads? on my website? the froggie one i still have to finish and get the cart system up. but i'd rather sell froglets than tads as tads come with 1. risk of not morphing..2. shipping risks. 3. heavier overnight fees to ship due to water weight.

and yep milkies are from mike novy. a trio he had extra of that have done amazing since day one he sent.
