Hi all, just adopted yet another cool frog (I'm starting to think I should do frog rescue) beautiful fat African bullfrog.. Looks like a green blob that ate another green blob

Just need to know best way to keep her warm. I have her in a plastic fishtank.. not sure if under tank heaters will melt it or not. Zoo Med makes a tiny one for hermit crabs but not sure if will be too much. The room temp is about 75 during day but does drop to 65 at night. I can alway do heat from a light but do not wish to stress this frog out...she has had a horrible life up until now...kept in tiny petkeeper with just bowl..no substrate, no hide, nothing...and used to school experiements.

Sorry I tend to ramble...

But any advice would be great...

Thanks

harpy

They need an overhead heating source. Not UTH. It is not natural for them to have a heat source from below. Plus they burrow and regulate their body temps by burrowing to escape the heat and find moisture.

They need deep substrate that stays moist but not soupy wet.
