Does anyone have any information on a college with a good biology (preferrably emphasis on herpetology) department? Thanks,
tom

Ever thought of coming to Canada? I'm assuming your from the U.S. I could be wrong on that - sorry if I am - I forget sometimes that there's visitors from all over on this site.
Check out the science program at the University of Alberta - it's supposed to be really good!

Hi, I went to UCB and we had a number of herp people. Still show up for herp night.
As it was explained to me a lot of west coast herpetology deals with phylogenetics, evolution, and relationships. While east side people do more behavior type stuff.
I've seen a lot of good stuff from down in San Diego (dealing with Baja Ca herps) as well as somewhere in Texas (I forget where).

The University of Florida has a great biology program and they do a lot of herpetological research.

Yea I know UF (where I start Grad Schol in the Fall)has a great Biology program, but are specific to large animals as far as veteranary stuff is concerned.
I personally know the Boston University has a great Bio department, with an emphisis on Herps.

No, but now that I think of it I think Lousiana has a college big into herps as well. I remember reading some paper (I think on newts) that came out of Georgia though. (I think.)
