4 Dogs, 4 cats, 4 horses, and 2 teenagers. One delectible lady-wife-mother of the children I probably don't deserve, but I got her, so don't worry about this much.
Frogs include:
6 Dendrobates imitator
4 D. auratus, blue morphs,
3 D. galactonotus, pumpkin orange splash backs
4 D. leucomelas
4 D. fantasticus
4 D. pumilio bastiamentos, orange.
1 desert horned lizard that lives in harmony with
1 juvenile sagebrush lizard.
1 pile of dirt under which resides a grumpy spadefot toad that demands superworms at 3:00 AM, as well as changing his water dish and drowning some fruit flies in it so he can relax and slurp them up at his leisure.
One Tilapia 15 inches long in a 180 gallon tank along with several gouramis and a chocholate plecostamus.
Various tetras, algae eaters, platys and a few snails that share a big paludarium with the Galactonotus dart frogs.

Now I have had for over 3 years now. no monkey pox. I got her before that happened. She is a cute little thing, a pest though. She needs a lot of attention. I am kind of glad they made it illegal b/c they don't really make great pets, unless you have a colony with lots of space or TONS of time. But I lover her. Here is a picture of her.

Twas' a joke. Pet stores around here had prairie dogs when the monkey pox thing hit. I don't think anyone bought noe before that anyways, since they run all over around here. They are pests in large fields. What kind of a cage is that?

I have in one of those 5 foot tall ferret cages with like 5 levels and over a foot of bedding and she makes all sorts of little tunnels.
I have heard ALOT of people complain that theres were nasty. I mean after all 99.9% are wild caught so I can't say I blame them. I really lucked out b/c not only did I get a very sweet little girl but she is small too alot smaller then many other praire dogs I have seen.
That whole monkey pox thing was such a scam b/c it originally came from a rat and a praire dog caught it and gave it to a human. So now they ban praire dogs as pets, well what about the rats???

You can't ban rats, they are food for other pets, like snakes, gila monsters, larger frogs (occasionally), etc. Prairie dogs are interesting little guys. I won't get into the topic of their hunting season for your sake

thanks. I know all about that is why I did not mind getting a wild caught oen b/c more then likely she probably would have been killed.
I know you can not ban rats, but I still think banning praire dogs was unneccssary.

Prairie dog hunting is not big around here, but I've heard of a few doing it. It's not a "sport" or for "food", because it basically blows them up. Not the kind of hunting I like to do.
