I have a green frog and a American toad and I was wondering how long they would live if they didn't hibernate

one american toad made it to 42 years old if I remember well
but asking for a frog lifespan is... I dunno
most people will get em killed in some ways before you should even bother about the fact it might die of old age

I've had this spring peeper for over 4 years..!

The american toads, I've read 35 years and 40 years too. The toad that I read that lived to be 35 years, it said that he ended up dying prematurely from an accident.

Both species, should be able to live at least 10 years though, and it can largely depend on how old they were when you got them

Indeed, this is useful information to me too, although what Fwo said is probably right unless you take extreme care of the frogs, as I am attempting to do, although viruses and ailments are a very big threat. If you want them to live a long time, clean out their tank regularly, stop any contagion from building up, check with the exotic Vet regularly, feed them regularly, and overall, train and prepare for the unexpected.

I've read that aestivation can effect longevity then I've heard otherwise.
My Pyxie was down for 14 months.
If they want to go down just let them.
Don't let the substrate dry out all the way, mist lightly and keep fresh water available.
Be absolutely certain that their stomachs are empty!! Don't feed for two weeks and do a warm soak to make sure they pass everything. Anything in their systems will become septic and kill them.
Good luck!
