I bought 3 baby solomon isle frogs for $100 at a reptile expo 1 green, 1 yellow, and a brownish orange one. They're the size of your finger nail. I have pinheads and fruit flies to feed them, is that OK?

Mine took Hydei ff for quite some time and i think they were just over 2 months when i got them. they are now on a staple diet of crickets. They will eat quite a bit so be prepared. What are you keeping them on for substrate? if you don't mind saying, who did you get them from? these have quickly became one of my favorite frogs. Most of what I read says they are real skittish and shy but my are very bold and out in the open during the day.

I don't exactly know who I got them from, sorry. We happened to be there when the vendor was trading for them..
I have them on a moss mat in a small acrylic tank with mongolia leaves. They seem to love it. Mine are very bold also.

Does diet, environment etc. affect the coloration of Solomon Isle frogs?

No. But when the lights go out and the temps drops a bit my high yellows turn a more grayish color and tend to show more pattern. Especially in the face area. i only notice it in the morning when the lights come back on and it takes them just a bit to change back.
Im not sure if you have read Patrick nabors wrightup on them or not. but he recommends keeping them on mulch. I started mine on paper towel for a month or so just to run fecals and make sure they were eating well. then switched them over to cypress mulch about 1.5 inches deep with a layer of rock under it for drainage. He also recommended a bit of ventilation and said they seem to benefit from it.

Also from what iv been told they will throw random color forms from any type. So my group of only high yellow may throw greenish or brown or what ever else. Not just yellow.
