Sorry to hear of your loss. Was this frog one of your Gray tree frogs? How long did you have it in captivity? I believe it was Wild caught, right?

It was an American green tree frog. An no, I bought it at a store on April 20th.....I believe. so almost 4 months. He has been acting funny for awhile. He was the same frog that went crazy about a week ago(I don't know if you saw my post). I mean it was like he had just drank a gallon of caffeine! Then he fell to the ground on his back and was making a VERY high pitched eeeeee. So I took him out about put him in some distilled water and he was just fine so I put hiim back in the tank with the others. like I said that was a week ago. So now....I am really worried that my other frogs will get sick and die. So I have been keeping an eye on them.

One, distilled water is not good. Distilled water is meant for certain plants and cannot benefit frogs because it lacks minerals tap water has. Use your water conditioner such as Repti Safe and use the water from your home. Or spring water.

My friend tried spring water one time and it almost killed her grays! I set out water for 24 hours then use it. So what do you think happened to my frog or do you not know?

What evidence do you have that spring water almost killed your friend's frogs? Setting water out for 24 hours is an ok method for letting chlorine evaporate but there is also chloramine and other toxic metals in tap water that need to be treated. You need to buy a water treater such as NovAqua or Reptisafe as Jaws stated.

My friend had been setting water out just like I do. then they moved to NC and they were unpacking when they realized that their frog tank needed clean so instead of having to wait 24 hours they got some spring water and used it and they were moving around REALLY slow and not eating then she changed it back the water, she had been useing, a couple days later and they were fine then. Maube it was just because they were used to the other water. They live 30 minutes from the ocean......does that have anything to do with it?
